## Overview

Just Piste is an independent reference for skiers planning a trip in Europe. We built it because most resort information online is either an advert or years out of date.

## What the site is

Every number on Just Piste — piste kilometres, lift counts, snow depths, transfer times, prices — comes from a database we maintain ourselves, not from marketing copy. If we do not have a verified figure for something, the page simply leaves it out rather than guessing.

## How we gather data

Piste and lift data comes from OpenStreetMap contributors. Weather and snow forecasts come from Open-Meteo. Airport transfer times are calculated with a routing engine wherever we can, and flagged as estimates otherwise. ## No ads, no sponsored rankings

Just Piste carries no advertising and no affiliate links. A resort cannot pay to rank higher on a list, and we do not accept payment for placement anywhere on the site.
