## Overview

Just Piste is built entirely on data we are licensed to use, credited here exactly as each licence requires.

## Map and piste data

Map, piste and lift data is © OpenStreetMap contributors, used under the [Open Database Licence](https://www.openstreetmap.org/copyright) — it is attributed on every map and on every table built from it, as the licence requires. [OpenSkiMap](https://openskimap.org) republishes the same OpenStreetMap data specifically for ski areas and carries the same attribution and licence.

## Weather and climate data

Weather forecasts and historical snow records come from [Open-Meteo](https://open-meteo.com), licensed [CC BY 4.0](https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/).

## Reference data

Country, resort and airport reference facts (elevations, coordinates, opening years) are sourced from [Wikidata](https://www.wikidata.org), dedicated to the public domain under [CC0](https://creativecommons.org/publicdomain/zero/1.0/).

## Images

Photographs come from [Unsplash](https://unsplash.com) and [Pexels](https://www.pexels.com) under their own free-to-use licences, from [Wikimedia Commons](https://commons.wikimedia.org) under the licence each file specifies (credited individually below where a licence requires it), or are uploaded directly by an admin under rights we hold or have been granted.

The tables below are generated from the same records the site publishes from — every active dataset with its licence and last successful update, and every published image grouped by source and licence, with an individual author credit for each Wikimedia Commons photo that requires one.
