## Overview

Reviews on Just Piste are useful because they are honest and first-hand. These guidelines explain what we expect and how a review is handled.

## What we expect

- **You visited.** Write about a trip you actually took, not somewhere you have only read about.
- **No incentives.** We do not pay for reviews and do not accept a review written in exchange for a discount, a free stay or any other benefit — the UK's Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act treats an incentivised review that hides the incentive as a fake review, and so do we.
- **No personal data about anyone else.** Do not name a member of staff, another guest, or include a phone number, email address or booking reference.
- **Your own words.** Copy-pasted marketing text, or a review written by someone else, will not be published.

The exact submission limits — how many reviews you may leave in a day, and the shortest and longest a review may be — are shown below, read live from the same settings the submission form enforces.

## Moderation and removal

Every review is checked before it goes live, against the bands above, and against the same rules for every submission. A review that is not clearly incentivised, abusive or off-topic and that carries a moderate risk score is checked by a person rather than published automatically. You can ask for your own review to be removed at any time — see [Contact](/contact) — and we act on a well-founded report from anyone else about a specific review, such as a claim it names a real person inappropriately or was not left by a genuine visitor.
